Our 4-Week Project Timeline
At Origami Design-Build, we value transparency. That’s why we outline exactly what to expect in the first month of your project. From site evaluation to permit submission, our process keeps your project moving with clarity and confidence.
Week 1: Site Evaluation & Feasibility
We begin with on-site measurements, feasibility studies, and due diligence on city requirements. This stage includes identifying existing structures, utilities, and setbacks—ensuring your project starts on a solid foundation.
Week 2: Design Development
Our team drafts the schematic layout and works with you to define finishes, appliances, and materials. You’ll also receive 3D renders, giving you a realistic preview of your space before construction begins.
Week 3: Technical Details & Energy Reports
We prepare your Title 24 energy calculations along with structural details. If required, solar and fire-sprinkler systems are also integrated at this stage to meet California’s standards.
Week 4: Final Plans & Permits
We complete your full set of plans and handle building permit processing directly with the city. With all documents submitted, your project is permit-ready and positioned to move into construction.
